The venue: Messe München, Munich
bauma takes place at Messe München, Am Messesee 2, Munich, Germany. For an exhibitor coming from Italy the question is rarely the screen: it is whether the screen, the structure and the people arrive together. For bauma they do: the LED wall leaves from our base near Naples with our own team and vehicles, and the same technicians who load it in Italy assemble it at your booth in Munich.
The venue sets the timetable, not us. Access to Messe München for lorries, the halls' build-up hours and the dismantling sequence of bauma are fixed by the organiser weeks in advance, and the route from Italy to Munich is planned around them so that the wall is at the booth when your stand builder has finished the walls — not before, when there is nowhere to put it, and not after, when the access is closed.
Messe München is not a venue we visit every month, and we say so: for bauma we ask the organiser's technical office for the hall regulations in advance, and we put the answers — vehicle access, hall build-up hours, rigging rules — in the quote rather than in a phone call the week before.
What the screen has to do at a construction machinery show
bauma is a trade show for construction machinery. That changes what the screen at your booth has to do, and therefore which screen we bring to Munich.
At an industrial show the machines are the exhibit and the screen explains them: process animations, cycle times, a live feed from a demonstration cell, a cut-away of a component that cannot be shown in the hall. Stands at bauma are often larger and the wall is read from the aisle, at several metres — which allows a wider pitch than in a retail-style booth and, with it, a larger surface for the same budget.
Power is the point that stops an industrial stand more often than anything else: a machine on demonstration, lighting and a LED wall on the same supply. For bauma we give you the wall's peak draw before you close the electrical order with the organiser, so the socket you book is the socket you need.
Build-up and dismantling at bauma
bauma does not have a fixed edition date in our calendar, so we do not print one: tell us the dates of the edition you are exhibiting at and the quote is built on them. Exhibition centres open the halls to stand builders in the days before the opening — usually the two days before — and the LED wall goes up once your stand's walls are finished, inside the window assigned to your hall.
Dismantling starts as soon as bauma closes, often the same evening, with every exhibitor in the hall packing at once. For a booth-sized wall the work itself is a matter of hours. If the closing is late and the halls do not allow dismantling that night, the wall stays at the stand and must be kept in custody until our team collects it the next morning — the quote says which of the two applies.
For bauma we recommend booking at least three to four weeks ahead, which is the time it takes to reserve the hardware and plan the logistics around the venue's rules. Short-notice requests are not refused: they are answered with what is actually available.
Power, weight and depth at your booth in Munich
Three numbers decide whether a LED wall works at bauma, and none of them is on the screen's data sheet. The first is power. Our standard fair panel draws about 494 W per square metre at full white: a 3 m² wall is around 1.5 kW, a 6 m² wall around 3 kW — the whole of the single-phase 16 A socket (about 3.6 kW) that most exhibitors order with the stand — and a 10 m² wall, at roughly 4.9 kW, needs a 32 A supply or a dedicated line. That is the peak, not the average, but a circuit breaker trips on the peak. Send us the wall size before you close the electrical order for bauma and we tell you what to book.
The second is weight and support. A fair wall weighs between 18 and 30 kg per square metre depending on the series, plus the structure that holds it — well within what any hall floor at Messe München carries, so at bauma the floor is not the question. The constraint is how it stands: a ground-support structure inside the stand needs around 40 cm of depth behind the screen for frame and cabling, while hanging from the hall roof depends on the venue, has a rigging cost and must be requested from the organiser weeks in advance. Ask your stand builder how much depth is behind the screen before the floor plan is signed.
The third is distance. A millimetre of pixel pitch wants roughly a metre of viewing distance before the dots show; in a booth at bauma a visitor is often at two metres or less, which is why we bring fine-pitch panels as a rule and choose a wider pitch only when the screen sits high above the stand or faces the aisle from a distance. We rent from 6 m² upwards, in cabinet multiples, and we carry about ten per cent of the cabinets as spares.
A failure mid-show can't be fixed by a call centre.
A tempting price often hides poor technical skill. We come in person, with spare parts and instruments: our lab repairs down to the single LED and is equipped to intervene on site. We don't leave you a toll-free number — we leave you a technician.

Do you deliver and assemble directly at the booth in Munich?
Yes. We coordinate with the schedule and rules of the Munich (Germany) exhibition centre: delivery, assembly, dismantling and collection are included. You focus on the booth, we take care of the screen.
How far in advance should I book?
For trade fairs we recommend at least 3–4 weeks to secure hardware and logistics. For urgent requests, contact us anyway: we often cover short notice too.
